Summertime!

… good show this week.

We will pay a belated tribute to the beginning of summer. OK, I know I’m late but it’s been hot.

Our pal Giacomo Gates will join us to discuss Gershwin’s classic tune “Summertime” and bring us up to date on what’s happening in the Jazz world . 

Giacomo is always an interesting interview and he certainly knows his stuff.

We will talk with fine young guitar virtuoso, Alexis Glick. A terrific player with a new, very tasty CD

I will take a moment to review the Irving Pen photographic exhibition at the de Young Museum. And trust me it’s fabulous.

Finally weekend liner notes will feature the extraordinary Tom Russell with a tune that is nothing heart breaking.
